Four body, "Louis XVI", the cover enamelled with a finely painted Cupid on a cart drawn by butterflies with diamond inlaid wheels, outer black champleve enamelled pearl-set decoration, the back enamelled with a finely painted, diamond-inlaid bunch of flowers and outer decoration matching that of the cover. A dedication dated 1773, engraved inside the cover. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 15"', gilt brass, 15 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
