"Nocturne", made by Valmé, Les Ponts Martel (Swiss), for the English market, circa 1930. Fine silver gilt eight day going, minute repeating, miniature carriage clock in original fitted box with key.

C. Rectangular, double body, polished, hinged door on the back, folding handle on the top. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Rectangular, gilt brass, 13 jewels,platform straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a button on the top. In very good condition. Dim. 60 x 40 x 30 mm.
