Anonymous, France, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze, quarter repeating, "petite sonnerie" carriage clock with alarm, in original fitted travelling box

C. GiIt bronze, "Gorge", glazed on five faces. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and subsidiary dial for the alarm. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, platform lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Striking, repeating and alarm on two gongs with optional lever "striking/silent" on the base. In very good condition. Dim. 140 x 71 x 63 mm. excluding the handle.
