Wm. Metford Genève, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. pink gold hunting cased, minute repeating, double calendar watch with subsidiary 24 hour dial.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the dates, the subsidiary seconds and the 24 hours divided in two sections of 12 hours for day and night hours. Gold "spade" hands. M. Glazed nickel plated, " fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
