Bovet, Fleurier, No. 672, Swiss, made for the Chinese market, circa 1830. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set, centre seconds watch with special escapement.
C. Two body, bezels with red and blue champleve enamelled decoration inlaid with split-pearls, the pendant and bow with matching decoration, the back with multicoloured painted summer flowers against a light blue ground. Gold engraved and engine-turned cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel " spade" hands with gilt tips. M. GiIt brass, Chinese calibre drawn from that of Lepine, fully engraved with free standing barrel, steel single wheel duplex escapement, plain five-arm steel balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Signed on the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
