Ls. Duchêne & Fils, No. 88562, (Genève), circa 1810. Fine and unusual, small 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl set, half skeletonised, quarter repeating watch with special escapement.
C. Three body, "Empire", with split-pearl set bezels, reeded band, the back of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, centred with multi coloured painted summer flowers. Gold cuvette. D. Gold chapter ring with Breguet numerals on white enamel cartouches, visible polished steel repeating work against the gilt brass front plate engraved with scrolled decoration. Gold Breguet hands. M. GiIt brass, drawn from the Lepine calibre, partly engraved with scrolls, with free standing barrel, virgule escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In good condition. Diam. 37 mm.
