Picard Frères & F. Russer, Chaux-de-Fonds ( Swiss) by Girard Perregaux, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. gold, double face keyless, moon phase astronomical watch with triple calendar.

C. Three body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, glazed on both faces. D. White enamel on the front with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds with inner moon-phase aperture. White enamel on the reverse with outer ring for the dates, subsidiary dials for the days of the week and the months. GiIt brass paste-set hands. M. 19-, nickel plated, "à vagues" decoration, 18 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. The calendar work is driven by an additional wheel, revolving once in 24 hours. Signed on the dials, Girard Perregaux trade mark, punched on the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
