Hahn Junior, Hofmecchanicus in Stuttgard, circa 1790. Fine and unusual silver dead centre seconds stopwatch.

C. Double body, "forme quatre baguettes" with reeded band and glazed back. D. White enamel eccentric with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, centre seconds chapter on the border of the bezel. GiIt brass hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with fixed barrel, brass wheel cylinder escapement, extra large plain brass five arm second beating balance and extra large gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with scrolls and dolphins, garnet end-stone. The balance can be stopped at will by means of a small lever on the border of the dial. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
