Dent, London, Swiss, circa 1870. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased pocket chronometer, in original rosewood fitted box, with an additional dial for the Turkish market.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets" engine-turned. Gold cuvette, engine-turned on the edge. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Additional white enamel dial with Turkish numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold paste-set hands. M. 20"', bar caliber (similar to those used by Frederic Favre-Bulle for his tourbillon chronometers), gilt brass, 15 jewels part in gold screwed settings, fusee with maintaining power, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel spherical balance spring. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 52mm.
