Bourdin, rue de la Paix, 28, Paris, No. 9074, circa 1860. Fine and rare, small 18 ct. gold, keyless "montre à tact".

C. Four body, massive "forme quatre baguettes", polished, with gold touch pins on the band, a monogram with the head of a red deer, in an escutcheon, engraved on the cover, the large revolving "tact" hand, engraved with scrolls, on the back. Gold cuvette with an aperture allowing the tact hand to be cached by the "tact" wheel. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. 15"', gilt brass, bar caliber, 15 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 45mm.
