Moulinie, Geneve No. 2537, French, circa 1840. Fine and rare, gilt bronze, hour striking carriage clock with special escapement.

C. One piece, glazed on four panels, finely chased with formal decoration, the back door engraved with scrolls, the winding holes with shutters. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel " trefle" hands. M. Eight day going, double train with going barrels. Special Paul Garnier frictional-rest escapement drawn from the Debaufre escapement, plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring. Striking on gong, with count whee. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 12 x 8 x 6,5 cm., without the handle.
