Henry Capt, Geneve, French, circa 1890. Fine gilt brass, hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm and porcelain panels.

C. Gilt bronze, "gorge", entirely engraved with scrolls of flowers. Side panels painted with young maids, a Cupid, doves, within blue and gilt frames. D. porcelain panel, white chapter ring with Roman numerals and gilt half hour divisions, subsidiary alarum setting dial, outer painted gilt decoration, with two Cupids beneath the dial. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Eight day going double train movement with going barrels. Silvered platform escapement, lateral lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Striking and repeating a gong. In good condition. Dim. 12,5 x 9 x 6,5 cm.
