Anonymous,made for the Austrian Market, mid- 19th. century. Extremely rare pair of gold, enamel and lapis-lazuli harp form vinaigrettes, one with music the other with a watch.

C.Two body, the bases and sound board backs decorated with engraved and partly enamelled flowers and foliage on a translucent scarlet ground, the fronts with enamelled musician figures and cherubs against cream ground. Lapis-lazuli columns terminating in enamelled finials. Gold wire strings. Both set upon ram's-head and shell scroll feet. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued-steel Breguet hands. M. Watch movement with gilt brass plates, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance and flat spring. Pierced and engraved continental cock. Musical train of brass with pin drum and stack of eight blade teeth, with set-off pin in the edge of the case. In very good condition. Dims. 91 mm.high.
