Le Roy (in Turkish characters), Swiss, No. 10662, circa 1825.Very fine slim 18 ct. gold and enamel hunting-cased watch, made for the Islamic market.
C. Four-body with scalloped edge, front and back cover with 12 lobed sections, six in grisaille-painted enamel with cornucopias, flowers and fruit, alternating with sections decorated with applied multicoloured gold and silver flowers and leaves, hinged cuvette, pendant decorated en suite. D. White enamel, Turkish numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Breguet hands. M. 40.5 mm o gilt brass, bridge caliber, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Signed in Turkish on cuvette and dial.Diam. 55 mm.
