C. Outer: two-body, the back decorated in a delicate design of flowers with raised gold heads, foliage and scrolls. Inner: two-body, 'bassine', polished, curved-in edge, diamond-set bezel split at the square hinge for glass retention, short pendant, loose ring. D. White enamel, Roman chapters with half-hour markers, inner quarter-hour ring. Blued-steel hand. M. 28.2 mm o, hinged, gilt brass full plate, vase baluster pillars, fusee and gut-line, short four-wheel train, verge escapement, two-arm seel balance without spring, elongated gilded cock pierced and engraved with symmetrical foliage, worm and wheel set-up.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 40 mm.
