Edouard Robert Theurer, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 10737, circa 1840.Very fine and slim, 18 ct. gold and enamel watch in the Bagnolet style.
C. Three-body, 'bassine pincée', back decorated in champlevé enamel with a central oval cream-coloured cartouche with gold flowers, surrounded by a broad blue border with white foliate scrolls, engraved edge, the front bezel decorated with white enamel fleur de lis on a blue ground. D. Eccentric, white enamel, radial Roman chapters, outer minute divisions. Blued-steel Breguet hands. M. 38 mm o, single plate gilt brass with bridge under the dial, engraved with scrolls and flowers, 8 jewels, cyliner escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, flat blued-steel balance spring.Signed on the back of the plate housing the movement.Diam. 45 mm.
