C. Two-body, 'fermée' type, domed hinged polished cover and back, the back with round shutter, fluted band decorated with geometrical pattern. D. Oval, gilded, central round 24 hour chapter ring with I to XII radial Roman chapters and star half-hour markers, inner ring from 13 to 24, touch pins for night reading, framed by finely engraved flowers, foliage, cornucopias and vases. Blued-steel 'beetle' hand. M. 41 x 51 mm, oval, gilt brass full plate, turned baluster pillars, fusee and gut line, shrt four-wheel train, the first one with six-leaf pinion, the other with five, two-arm steel circular foliot, elongated gilt pinned pierced and foliage engraved cock, wheel and click set-up, the border engraved with scrolls and flowers.Signed on the back plate.Dim. 72 x 49 mm.
