Jean Fazy, Geneva, circa 1785.Very fine 18 ct. varicoloured gold and enamel, pearl-set lady's watch with dumb quarter repeating or on a bell.

Two-body, 'Louis XVI', the back with a light green translucent enamel ring with a grey enamel and paillon leaf garland, the centre and border with varicoloured applied gold enamel and half pearl floral decoration, the back bezel chiselled and set with half pearls and an applied gold rope twist. D. White enamel, Roman chapters, with half pearl half-hour markers, outer minute dot divisions with five-minute Arabic numerals. Gold pearl-set 'Louis XVI' hands. M. 27.8 mm o, gilt brass full-plate, clindrical pillars, fusee and chain for the going train, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, two-footed continental cock pierced and engraved with rocailles, repeating on bell by depressing the pendant, a bolt at 6 o'clock to switch to dumb repeating.Signed on the dial and movement.Diam. 38 mm.
