The front with a spring-loaded central oval enamelled portrait of the praying infant Saint John the Baptist with diamond-set bezel, finely pierced and decorated and set with half-pearls, plain yellow gold back within rose gold borders. D. White enamel, Roman chapters, outer minute dot divisions. Blued-steel 'spade' hands. M. 52 mm 32.2 mm, arm 12.7 mm, cruciform, gilt brass, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain brass balance, flat balance spring, winding by the crown at 9 o'clock, setting bythe crown at 3 o'clock.Numbered on case and movement.Dim. 67 x 46 mm.
