Ilbery, London, No. 5481, circa 1815.Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, diamond-set watch with centre seconds and a stop feature, made for the Chinese market.
C. Four-body, spring-loaded back with applied diamond-set wreath and central rosette against an Imperial blue enamel ground over engine-turning, bezels and pendant decorated with enamel and paillon flowers and leaves, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, Roman hour chapter, outer minute and fifth-second divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic numerals. Gold 'heart' hands. M. 47.5mm o, hinged, gilt brass Lépine calibre, free-standing barrel, cylinder escapement, brass escape wheel, five-arm steel blance, flat balance spring, diamond endstone, stopwatch lever at 2 o'clock.Signed on the movement.Diam. 59 mm.
