Unsigned, Geneva, circa 1900.Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel diamond-set keyless pendant form watch in the shape of a beetle.

C. Four-body, spring-loaded wings in translucent green enamel over engine-turning graduating from light to dark and set with rose-cut diamonds, which open to reveal the dial, neck and head set with diamonds, the eyes with rubies, gold glazed cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer gold dot paillon minute divisions. Gold 'spade' hands. M. 15.8 mm o, gilt, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring.Dim. Length 53 mm. Published in the Sandberg book, pages 494-495.
