Unsigned, Geneva, circa 1900.Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel diamond-set keyless form watch in the shape of a beetle.

Four-body, spring-loaded double pair of wings, the forewings in translucent red enamel over engine-turning, the hind wings in graduated opalescent blue enamel, both diamond-set, the head set with diamonds within a black enamel frame, the eyes emeralds, glazed cuvette, diamond-set suspension piece which is also a winder.D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot paillon minute divisions. Gold 'spade' hands. M. 15.8 mm o, gilded brass, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, gold balance flat balance spring.Dim. 59 mm.
