Unsigned, Geneva, No. 3221, circa 1810.Fine and amusing 18 ct. gold and enamel, concealed dial form watch designed as an urn.
C. Two-body, 'fermée' type, the spring-loaded front revealing the dial, both covers identically decorated with dark blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, flanked by opaque azure panels, the bottom with a rosette in black champlevé enamel. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute dot divisions. Blued-steel 'spearhead' hands. M. 19.8 mm o, hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced andengraved, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate.Dim. 40 x 28 mm.
