The Yellow TulipUnsigned, Geneva, circa 1810.Very fine and amusing 18 ct. gold enamel and pearl-set, concealed dial form watch in the shape of a tulip.
C. Two-body, the petals are spring-loaded and finely painted in enamel in tones of bordeaux, yellow, and green, hinged to the base of the flower which is in translucent red enamel over a flinqué ground, with green leaves attached to a gold stem forming the pendant. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer Arabic 15 minute numerals. Gold 'spade' hands. M. 19.5mm o, hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental coc, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate.Dim.
