Fres Esquivillon & De Choudens, No. 310, circa 1810.Fine and amusing 18 ct. gold and enamel emerald- and pearl-set, concealed dial form watch in the shape of a butterfly.
C. Two-body, 'fermée' type, both sides with multi-coloured champlevé enamel of many tones, with pearl- and emerald-set thorax, ruby-set eyes, pearl-set antennae, short gold suspension chain. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions with Arabic 15 minute numerals. Gold 'spearhead' hands. M. 22 mmo, hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved in a symmetrical pattern, rak and pinion regulator with silver.Signed on the dial.Dim.
