The QuiverUnsigned, Geneva, circa 1815.Very fine and extremely rare 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl-set nécessaire with concealed watch, in the form of a quiver of arrows, fitted with a scent bottle.

C. Shaped, rectangular bottle, both sides similarly decorated, the hinged top containing a chased and engraved to resemble arrow feathers, set with half-pearls, decorated with gold, champlevé enamel, set with a half-pearl stopper, decorated with geometrical patterns in black champlevé enamel, and half-pearls, the edge set with larger half-pearls. The top opens to reveal several gold and enamel toilet instruments as well as the key, the central panels painted on Imperial blue enamel with bouquetsof flowers within a gold engraved frame, the side panels with white and red champlevé enamel flowers and gold foliage over black enamel ground, the bottom with spring-loaded covers resembling lotus flower petals inlaid with graduated pearls, with black, white, and red champlevé enamel, pearl-set finial. D. White enamel, Roman chapters, outer minute markers, within a shield frame with corners decorated with black enamel and gold flowers. Gold 'spearhead' hands. M. 18 x 18 mm, shield-shaped, giltrass, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, steel double-footed bar-type cock.Dim. 112 x 27 mm.
