Attributed to Moulinié, Bautte & Cie, Geneva, circa 1806.Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set combined watch and perfume sprinkler in the form of a flintlock pistol, with matching key.

C. The grip of translucent scarlet enamel over a flinqué, the borders set with half pearls. Gold plates, finely chased with a dog on one side and a rabbit on the reverse, framed with half pearls. The barrel of cobalt blue translucent enamel over a flinqué ground with a gold scroll design simulating damascened work. The perfume is released through the pistils of a gold lotus flower with enamelled petals, which is shot out of the barrel. The watch is concealed in the end of the butt, which is decoated with half pearls centred by a gold and pearl-set rosette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold 'spearhead' hands. M. 15.5 mmo, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, blued-steel balance spring, engraved continental cock.With later leather fitted box.Dim.
