The PearMoricand a Genève, No. 37058, circa 1810.Fine and amusing 18 ct. gold and enamel concealed dial form watch in the shape of a pear.
C. Two-body, 'fermée' type, entirely decorated in alternating twisted bands of blue and black champlevé enamel decorated with gold leaves and white flowers, the bottom decorated with champlevé white enamel rose buds and foliage, gold pendant, round faceted bow. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer Arabic minutes. Blued-steel 'spearhead' hands. M. 18.5 mmo, hinged, gilt brass full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock, perced and engraved with letters 'MPJLotP', rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate.Signed on dial and movement.Dim. 39 x 22 mm.
