A La Plus BelleUnsigned, Geneva, circa 1810.Very fine and amusing 18 ct. gold and enamel concealed form watch in the shape of a pear fitted with a vinaigrette, a frame for a miniature, a mirror, and a patch compartment.

Five-body, each hinged, entirely decorated in red, blue, green, black, and white champlevé enamel on a flinqué ground with flower and leaf motifs, the phrase 'A La Plus Belle' written in a green band on the watch compartment, gold stalk forming the pendant, with filigree leaves. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic 15 minute numerals. Gold 'spearhead' hands. M. 20 mmo, hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain thre-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock.Dim. Length 63 mm, width 22 mm.
