The AnchorUnsigned, Geneva, No. 2092, circa 1810.Fine, 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set form watch with concealed dial, designed as a ship's anchor.
C. Two-body, 'fermée' type, spring-loaded front cover revealing the dial, the decoration identical front and back. The stem and hooks have a dark blue champlevé enamel ground and a rope pattern set with pearls. A six-pointed star of pearls with a single central diamond overlays the boss in translucent imperial blue enamel over engine-turning, small gold tassel at the bottom, triple gold suspension chain. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic fifteen minute numerals. Gld 'spearhead' hands. M. 19.4 mm o, hinged, gilt brass full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate.Dim.
