Intertwined HeartsUnsigned, Geneva, circa 1810.Fine and very rare 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl-set form watch with concealed dial, designed as a pair of romantically intertwined hearts.

Four-body, 'fermée' type, both covers hinged and identically decorated in translucent red enamel over engine-turning with pearl-set borders, applied green enamel laurel-leaf wreath wrapped around it, half pearl-set Amour's arrow, band decorated in azure and black enamel, gold, hinged cuvette. D. Gold with translucent imperial blue champlevé enamel over engine-turning, azure Roman chapters on polished gold ground, black enamel on the outer ring with gold minute divisions. Gold 'spearhead' hand. M. 19.2 mm o, gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance, continental cock, rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate.Dim. 31 x 31 mm.
