A Fishing PartyMaurice Ditisheim, No. 10653, enamel attributed to P.A. Champod, retailed by Levy Hermanos, Hong-Kong, circa 1895.Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set, keyless, hunting-cased, minute-repeating watch with centre seconds.
C. Four-body, 'pomme et filet', the front with a painted on enamel scene of two ladies and a gentleman fishing, the back with the portrait of a lady with an elaborate feathered hat on a cream-coloured background, gold hinged cuvette inscribed 'Medaille Exposition Universelle, Paris 1889' over glazed gold bezel to view the movement, band with green enamel geometrical pattern. D. White enamel, Roman chapters, outer minute ring and additional fifth of seconds scale calibrated from 0 to 300. Gold 'Luis XV' hands. M. 20''', gilded 3/4 plate, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, 'swan-neck' micrometric regulator, striking on two gongs by a slide on the band, hands lever-set.Signed on the dial by the retailer, back and cuvette stamped with Maurice Ditisheim's maker's mark.Diam. 56 mm.
