Four-body, 'bassine et filets', the front cover painted with Palemon and Lavinia in a woodland landscape, surrounded by an engraved gold foliate frame with diamond-set flowers, the back cover painted with two sheep in a woodland clearing by a river surrounded by a gold foliate frame, the bezels set with half pearls on a dark blue enamel ground, the engraved band with repeated pattern, gold hinged cuvette inscribed Medaille d'or Geneve, 1896, gold glazed bezel. D. Opaline enamel, Arabic numeras, outer minute gold paillon divisions with five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Gilt Louis XVI hands. M. 14''', nickel, 'fausses côtes' decoration, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, striking on gongs by a slide on the band.Diam. 43 mm.
