Very rare and unusual extra large gilt brass experimental exhibition watch, in original mahogany fitted box. C. Three body Empire, with glazed back. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. GiIt brass Louis XV hands. M. Brass, bar caliber with going barrel, very unusual type of lever escapement: in form of ellipse, the lever is set with two pins, locked by a kind of virgule, the impulse is given by a finger on the inner edge of the ellipse. Plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring. Signed and dated on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 75 mm.
