Ls. Duchene & Fils, Swiss, No. 88565, circa 1820. Unusual 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating watch, with visible repeating work.

C. Four body, Empire, with reeded band and engineturned back (worm. Gold glazed cuvette. D. Gold, with Breguet numerals in white enamel cartouches and outer enamelled minute ring, the center chased with a Cupid, sitting between two enamelled columns. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. GiIt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel five armed balance, flat balance spring, polished steel cock with ruby endstone, flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant, with a fine polished steel repeating work on the back plate. Signed on the dial. Good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
