Robert Brant & Cie., Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss, circa 1840. Rare and elegant 18 ct. gold watch with a regulator dial and a thermometer in the manner of Sylvain Mairet.

C. Three body, forme quatre baguettes, with reeded band and engine-turned back Gold cuvette, engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with a small Roman chapter on the left, symmetrical Arabic minute ring on the right, subsidiary seconds below and Reaumur thermometer sector above (slightly restored on the border). Gold hands. M. Very slim, 17. 5-, gilt brass, bar caliber, 10 jewels, the going barrel with a female winding hole, Sylvain Mairet type, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gilt Breguet balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 45 mm.
