C. Later, four body, massive bassine et filets, engine turned (rubbed), cover and back engraved with foliage decoration and small landscapes in cartouches. Gold cuvette, engine-turned on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 12-, part spotted and gilded, original bar caliber, 15 jewels, with going barrel and special Fasoldt escapement, drawn from the Robin escapement with double wheel, one being used for locking, the second to give the impulse to the two armed cut bimetallic balance with timing screws, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and special gold Fasoldt micrometric index. Signed on the dial and movement. In good condition. Diam. 53 mm.

This chronometer can be dated with precision, for the movement is engraved with the first patent of 1859, and with the additional phrase: Patent applied for, presumably referring to a subsequent grant in 1864; Therefore, the movement can be dated to this period of five years.
