Notes

Shortly after the death of Julien Le Roy, in 1759, Pierre Le Roy, in memory to his father, kept his signature and adopted the cock with the pierced and engraved initiais " J. L. R.". The inscription on the dial rim, refers to the invention by Julien Le Roy in 1740 of a new type of repeating work, à bâte levée, set below the dial, on the front plate, and the date 1755, to the invention of a new repeating train, using an anchor escapement as regulator.
