Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1780. Very fine 18 ct. gold, diamond set half-skeletonized watch, with diamond set silver matching châtelaine, in a later, green Morocco fitted box.

C. Double body, Louis XVI, glazed on both faces, with rose diamond set bezels and engraved with palm-leaf decoration. Very fine rose-diamond set four piece châtelaine pierced with the dove of the Saint Esprit and floral decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly restored on the border of the winding hole. Rose diamond set Louis XVI hands. M. GiIt brass full plate, the skeletonized back plate applied with a rose diamond set foliage decoration, matching that of the châtelaine. Cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain polished steel three armed balance with flat balance spring and polished steel endpiece. In very good condition. Diam. 39 mm.
