Double body, Louis XV, the engraved bezel with a champleve enamelled painted garland of flowers, the back enamelled with a very fine painted scene of a young man with his dog, sleeping in a forest, visited by Love. Further engraved decoration on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slIghtly restored). Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged, frosted and gilt, full plate, with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three armed balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass Louis XV continental cock with ruby endstone. Repeating on the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
