Rare and unusual horse rider brass podometer in form of a watch. Double body Louis XVI, polished case. White enamel dial with three scales. Full plate movement, the wheel train is driven by the wheel carrying the unit hand. Diam. 61 mm.

Notes

The podometer was secured to the saddle of the horse and the thin cord fastened to its leg. A similar podometer is illustrated in The history of the self winding watch, by A. Chapuis and E. Jaquet, page 203.
