Doyhanart (Bernard), French or Belgian, circa 1830 Very unusual wall-mounted regulator, with a weightdriven pivoted detent escapement and remontoire, calendar, equation of time and centre-seconds.

C. Now fitted in a rosewood veneered and ebonised moulded case with integral bracket and ogee top with urn finial. D. Engraved silvered with Roman hour numerals, outer ring for year calendar, equation sector about 12 o' clock. Blued-steel moon hands, gilt sun equation hand and sweep centre-seconds. M. Square brass plates with going-barrel, wound by a lever and pull-cord. Pivoted detent escapement with weight driven remontoire. Steel and gilt-brass gridiron pendulum. Signed on the pendulum and dial. In good condition. Dims. 700 x 200 x 140 mm.
