Very fine and rare 18 ct. pink gold, hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch, with the enamelled photographic portrait of the banker of William II, the fast German Emperor.

C. Four body, massive, Lucia Royal, polished, the banker's monogram engraved on the cover. Gold cuvette with the enamelled photographic portrait of Mr. Bleichrôder and the engraved dates: April 16, 1847 - April 16, 1897. D. Three piece white enamel, with Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Glazed, 1 8?, frosted and gilt, three quarter plate, 1 a quality, 27 jewels ingold screwed settings, gold straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with diamond endstone, Breguet balance spring with a swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In excellent condition. Diam. 53 mm.

This watch was presented by Mr. Bleichrôder, the Banker of the last Keisers, to Herrn Wihelm Weber, the Bürgermeister of the district of Berlin-Steglitz, on the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the bank. The watch has descended directly through the family. A. Lange & Sôhne, Glashütte, B/Dresden, No. 47266, circa 1895.
