Marchand & Sandoz, Swiss, made for the South- American market, circa 1890. Fine and unusual 18 ct. pink gold, hunting cased, double face, keyless repeating, moon phase astronomical, half skeletonized, calendar watch.

Three body, massive, bassine et filets, with chased band and borders, the cover with the bi-color gold applied monogram "L.T.A.", the back engraved with a fine composition of a palm tree, a railway steem-engine, a sailing-boat, a large marine anchor, balls of cotton and barrels, outer further scrolls and floral decoration. D. White enamel on the front, with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV hands. Skeletonized silver on the back, with subsidiary dials for week-days, dates, months and moon phase aperture. M.19?, nickel plated, 31 jewels, counterpoised, adjustable, straight fine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. In very good condition. Diam. 58mm.
