Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the cover with red enamelled Arabic chapters on a white ground, the back with a superbly painted and complex armorial and the motto "FESTINA LENTE". Gold cuvette, olivetted set-hands push piece and anti-theft bow. By Anthony Strachan. D. White enamel by Willis, with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and 60 minute register. Blued-steel "pear"hands. M. 20?, frosted and gilt, half plate, 28 jewels largely in screwed settings, English lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel double overcoil balance spring with micrometer regulator and diamond end-stone. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph work visible on the backplate with locking push piece in the band. Signed on the dial and movement. In perfect condition. Diam. 54 mm.
