Unusual small marine chronometer. Three body mahogany box with glazed upper section and magnifying glass set on the lid aperture. Gimballed suspension. Brass cylindrical case in three parts with glazed back. Mat silvered dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. 24? gilt brass three quarter plate movement with going barrel, 17 jewels in gold screwed settings, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance with gold poising and timing screws, free sprung blued steel helical spring with terminal curves. Dial diam. 61 mm. Dim. 13x13x13 cm.
