Fine small 56 hour marine chronometer with power reserve indication. Three body mahogany box with external brass handles, glazed upper section with hinged lid. Brass bowl and gimballed suspension. Silvered dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and Up-and-Down scale. Brass full plate movement, relieved for the barrel, with cylindrical pillars, fusee with maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, two armed bimetallic compensation balance with cylindricall weights and timing screws, diamond end-stone, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring. Dial diam. 75 mm. Dim. 17x16x16 cm.
