Rare and unusual early pocket chronometer, with experimental escapement. C. Three body, engine turned (slightly worn). D. Later silver, engraved with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Breguet hands. Gilt brass dust cap. M. GiIt brass full plate with turned pillars, fusee with chain, early form of pivoted detent escapement, two armed compensation balance with two weights and timing screws, gilt brass engraved balance bridge and ruby end stone, early helical balance spring with adjustable bracket. Signed on the bracket and the dial rim. In good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
