Two concentric sliding cylinders, the outer one with four symmetrical panels, each decorated with a floral and foliate pattern in translucent green and blue champlevé enamel, the panels divided by silver laurel leaves on a blue enamel ground, the inner cylinder polished silver, the base with a watch hinged in a round, threaded case screwed over the lens, decorated with a matching laurel leaf pattern on the same blue enamel ground. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute dot divisions. Gold "beetle and baton" hands. M. 32.6 mm, hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm steel balance, English style cock, silver regulation disc. Movement signed, case stamped ?ET? in a rectangle. Dim: Length when open 220 mm, closed 148 mm, diam. 37 mm. Property of a Swiss Gentleman
