"Heure de Cupidon" Duchène & Fils, Swiss. Made circa 1820. Fine, 18K gold, quarter-repeating pocket watch with automaton Jacks. To be sold without reserve
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, polished bezel and back, reeded band. Spring-loaded gilt-metal cuvette. D. White enamel, annular with Breguet numerals and outer minute divisions, glazed center disclosing two multicolored gold and silver putti on blued steel ground, striking the hours and quarters on two bells, lower and center skeletonized to view the going train. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat balance spring. Polished steel balance bridge, bright steel repeat work on the back plate, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. Diam. 59 mm.
